Why did you choose to work for OCE?

I chose to work here because unlike other schools OCE offers group lessons as well as private ones. OCE has a very special program where they teach English from the very basics and seeing students learn and progress is fulfilling. The school is very cozy, the staff are friendly, and the teachers are all approachable. It’s very challenging to be a great teacher but because of my colleagues I can work everyday with a big smile on my face.

What do you think is special about OCE?

OCE has an international party ever month where in students can engage themselves with foreigners and try to practice what they’ve learned from school. The staffs from OCE are all welcoming and it is heart warming to be accepted by a group of people that treat you like their family.

Why did you choose to become a teacher?

I chose to become an English teacher because I want to share my students the things I experienced while I am studying Japanese and being in Japan gave me the opportunity to explore Japan’s wonderful and vast culture. I love chatting and dealing with people and I think teaching English to connect and meet other people is one of the best ways to do that.

When did you made a difference in a student’s life?

One of my students from my beginner class was always late and having a difficult time memorizing words and grammar points but I always encouraged him to try his best and to always come on time to make it into a higher level. After months of perseverance, my student was able to move on to the next level and seeing how glad he was very fulfilling to me. And he also served as an inspiration to the other students to study hard and to move into a higher level. Right now, he tries he best to come to class every week and he tries his best to improve.
