Why the Name One Coin English?

The nation of Japan is experiencing an international disaster. Japanese people still cannot speak English unlike its Asian counterparts despite spending 6 years learning English in school. I have worked in the public sector with both local and national level education officials and I have lost all hope of any fundamental changes happening from within the public sector.

The only way for myself to create a long-lasting change is to create a company whose main goal is to increase the amount of Japanese who can speak English while remaining profitable enough to help large amounts of people without accepting money (influence) from outside sources and continue to contribute for decades to come.

3 Barriers to English Fluency

We will overcome the confidence barrier with an international team of role-models who have achieved fluency in English – we aim to end the false belief that you can only learn from a native speaker. We will build our students confidence in school and encourage them to speak outside of school because that is the only realistic way to achieve fluency.

We will overcome the know-how barrier through research of how people learn and experimentation of the models from innovators like you and share this knowledge with students

We will overcome the price barrier through offering lessons for 500 yen. The market average for a group lesson is between 2500 – 3000 yen and lasts 40 – 50 minutes. Learning English involves 100s and 1000s of hours. We are making this a reality.
